Adventures of Xanderbop
The Adventures of Xanderbop
This is a prototype for the Game Dev Knock Out competition. Game was made in 2 weeks and the Challenge was to make a one button game with Audio that fits the game. Not a full game. For more information: https://itch.io/jam/gdko-round-6
Game Lore
Due to goverment isolationist policies and the predictable resulting labour shortage, the retirement age has been been scrapped. Pentioners are being drafted back into industrial complexes and equiped with W.A.L.K. (Working Age Lengthening Kinematics) Gear to enhance performace (/stave off the inevitable).
One such facility is the XanderWood™ wood manufacturing plant (leading producer of Boxes, Barrels and Buckets) and Berryl, Ophelia and Pam (collectively known as the BOP) have had enough!
They must use their W.A.L.K. gear and the limited time they have left to escape the industrial complex and make it to safety. Will they make it? Probably not....

Wow... love the sounds and feel. I suck at timed jumping games but the vibe makes it very fun!
Great job! I like how the characters are balanced. One has super high jumps, but can only jump once, and, on the other end of the spectrum, one of them can jump 3 times, but in short hops. The sound is on point for this too.
A really great game. Love how you got 3 characters and they each have different jumps and sounds to them and its super cool how you can switch between them on the go
Really like how the jump audio plays into the background track (or maybe I'm just naturally in tune with the rhythm of the game;)
Nice and simple with detail to the contest requirements. Good job!
Thanks :)
